Previously Banned Tijuana Baby now available in Apple iBook Store

The previously banned cover art
“Tijuana Baby,” a novel by author Robert Haukoos from Moonshine Cove Publishing that was previously rejected for inappropriate cover art, is now available in the Apple iBooks store.

“Tijuana Baby” is the debut novel from Robert Haukoos and tells the story of two L.A. filmmakers who get trapped in Tijuana trying to save a 14-year-old girl from being forced into prostitution by a ruthless drug smuggler.

“It’s a relief that Apple iBooks has now accepted this book with the original cover,” said author Robert Haukoos. “It’s a serious novel with tasteful artwork on the cover that reflects the actual subject matter of the book.”

The cover art features an original painting by artist Thomas Hoffman of a nude girl reclining on a couch.

“It was distressing to think we would not be able to offer the book to the millions of iBook customers,” Haukoos commented. “This restores our faith in Apple that they are the progressive company we’ve always admired.”

Despite the controversial cover, advance reviews for Tijuana Baby have been positive:

“…plenty of unexpected twists and dark turns… Tijuana Baby is one road trip you’ll be glad you took and one you will never forget!” — Gary Yambor, Author of An Easy Score.

“…an absolute page-turner…only in the end do you learn who the true Tijuana Baby is.” — Heather Christena Schmidt, Writer, Blogger & Misanthrope.

“A rollicking & delightful romp from Tijuana to Hollywood… and back again.” — Stan Corwin, author of Oxymorons I Have Known – A Memoir of Fame & Famous Acquaintances.
