Dr. Knight graduated with his medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. He then trained in general and trauma surgery at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Knight received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of General Surgery in 2003 and board certification in plastic surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery Plastic Surgery in 2007.
He links his success to being an artist and dedicates his spare time to arts and chess. Dr. Knight also served in the United States Navy as surgeon to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. He retired as Lieutenant Commander in 2005.He is also the recipient of The State University of New York Educational Opportunity Program Honor Award for Outstanding Achievement as an Alumni in 2007.
