The Award’s track record since its inception in May 2009 shows that 84% of the winners and Top Startups have been funded, attracting Billions in investments! Many of these companies have been acquired, merged or went public.
Previous winners of the TiE50 Top Startup Award include Darktrace, a world leader in cyber security technology. The TiE50 scoring is done on each company’s IP, business model and team. This process pares down the pool of more than 7,000 companies to 300 best-of-breed semi-finalists. This pool is further vetted through a second level of selection process to 100 finalists and then 50 top startups. This year’s winners will be announced on 4 May 2018 at TiE Inflect at the Santa Clara Convention Center, California.
