New York City – July 18, 2018 – The vision for PixFood is to be the #1 AI driven food assistant for the millennial generation. It was developed as an advanced technology platform for food and recipe discovery and by using advanced photo recognition and complex machine learning, PixFood gives tailored suggestions on what to eat and cook. In the future, it will also include food delivery and restaurant recommendations.
The app targets the highly desirable demographic group aged between 22 and 37 with 79.4MM individuals – the millennials. Born between 1981 and 1996, millennials grew up using the internet, shopping and engaging in ways different from previous generations. As this group is growing older and starting families, their increasingly busy households are time-starved and hungry for convenience. They appreciate food quality and flavor but not necessarily spending hours in the kitchen. These standards are heating up competition among traditional businesses that are eyeing up disruptors to quickly gain an edge through innovation. Startups are making home cooking more automated, customized, and health-conscious than ever.
“No idea what to cook” – moments will be long gone thanks to PixFood. The user experience is quite simple: it all starts with users taking a photo of any ingredient they would like to cook with, in the kitchen or in the supermarket. After the photo is taken, the app instantly sends them personalized recipe suggestions!
PixFood’s content is carefully selected and produced to fit the lifestyle and tastes of millennials.
Each recipe suggestion contains high quality videos showing the cooking process step by step, an ingredients list and which diet the recipe is suitable for. Users will also be able to add food allergies, diet preferences and disliked ingredients in order to receive even more tailored results. The more users use the app, the more precise suggestions they get.
“We believe that PixFood will inspire the millennials to cook more than ever before in a fun and easy way. The AI technology, combined with a cutting edge scalable platform assures PixFood’s deep understanding of each user journey,” stated Martin Tonnesson, founder and CEO of PixFood.
PixFood works in the same way as some of the most well-known technology leaders in the world, with a proprietary platform developed in-house and customized to match food app needs. PixFood’s short term revenue model will be driven by in-app advertising and converting free users to a paid premium subscription. In the medium-term, different partnerships will be developed with restaurants as well as grocery, meal kit and other food delivery services to generate kick-back on generated sales.
