PRINCETON – September 11, 2017 – New Jersey native M.C. Pollock, an electro-pop musician, todayannounced his next dance single, ‘Gett1n Down’, will be released October 14, 2017. A funk-inspired electronic love song, ‘Gett1n Down’ will be available on iTunes, Spotify, and international streaming services. The singer’s new single will premier at an opening performance for Top 10 Billboard band, Metro Station.
“I’m very proud to be premiering my new single at the show with Metro Station”, says M.C. Pollock. “It’s an honor and a privilege…right after that show, I’ll be heading to Amsterdam to shoot some music videos. Great art to follow.” Drawing influence from Funk, House, Pop, and R & B, ‘Gett1n Down’ marks Pollock’s fourth release to be digitally distributed.
Highlighting an up-tempo drum line and funky bass notes, M.C. Pollock was inspired to release ‘Gett1n Down’ after a recent breakup. “This single was really a coping mechanism for me…I felt like four years of my life went down the drain from this recent breakup. The lines ‘my heart was achin’, my skies were gray and faded’ were really appropriate for how I was feeling..but this song got me in the mood for getting up, moving on and getting down,” Pollock explained.
Previous to the October release, M.C. Pollock has digitally distributed three singles and an EP. Most recently, the electro-pop singer showcased ‘Heartbeats’, an emotional EP about love and loss. Singles include Trap-inspired ‘PartyMonsta’, ‘Thousand Times’, a collaborative track with rapper IgnoVa, and ‘Tell Your Boss’.
M.C. Pollock is an electro-pop singer with music label Keep It Swanky. LLC. Equipped with a clear tenor voice, Pollock’s modern style fits the palette of any contemporary listener.
