Seattle – November 13, 2017 – Seattle-based leading IT company Digital 24 has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter to support its revolutionary USB drive SecureKey. The new-age 16 GB biometric flash drive is backed by US government-grade superior AES 256-bit encryption that renders a technically unbreakable protection to files and confidential passwords. The device can only be unlocked with programmed fingerprints to ensure complete protection for stored data from hackers.
The crowdfunding campaign is geared to raise $150,000 by December 8.
“Being IT pros, we often used to have friends and relatives asking us for the best ways to store or remember passwords. It inspired us to brainstorm a breakthrough solution that would be safe from intrusion, easy to hold in hands and also user-friendly and thus, SecureKey was born. Our state of the art thumb drive comes with a secure partition which can only be accessed by fingerprints. The in-built software assures safest management of your passwords which auto-populate on your bank website or Facebook. To ensure absolute safety, we have designed our drive with international-scale AES 256-bit encryption that is used by the US government. The superior security makes the device technically unbreakable as it would take all the supercomputers of the world and billions of years to figure out the possible keys to unlock the device. Most importantly, as the device can only be accessed by up to 10 programmed fingerprints, it’s virtually non-hackable. But such a project demands robust funding for software and hardware, and hence this Kickstarter campaign. Your generous support would help us to assure the best protection of files, passwords and other confidential data for all of us”, stated Kreg Cook, co-founder of Digital 24.
SecureKey is currently on the prototype stage. The funds raised from the Kickstarter campaign would be utilized to complete its in-built software, test both software and hardware and manufacture the device to perfection.
Speaking further, Kreg stressed on the user-friendly interface of the new advanced USB drive.
“Despite its superior features, our device is a breeze to use. As you receive SecureKey, you would just have to plug it into a USB port. Immediately you will receive an instructional dialogue which will direct you to complete the initial setup. You would have to add your fingerprints and you can add up till 10 of them if you want anyone else to access the USB drive. After the fingerprints are programmed, you can access the contents of your drive easily the moment you plug it in an USB port. No longer would you need to store your passwords in your computer. We have taken every possible step to prevent hackers from accessing your data.”
Backers would be rewarded with a handy 30-40% discount on the next-generation flash drive.
