New San Diego nightlife app brings customers to venues and VIP experiences to users’ fingertips

Announcing the launch of a new mobile app in San Diego that highlights all of the best nightlife specials and events in the city as well as provides transportation options.

Henry Liner, a serial entrepreneur, has announced today the launch of Bar World; a mobile app that will not only highlight the best bar and nightclub specials and events, but also provide transportation options. Bar World will also give unprecedented marketing options to bar and nightclub owners.

The app is currently launching only in San Diego and will feature some of the city’s best happy hours and premier access to some of the Gaslamp District’s hottest nightclubs (such as Fluxx, Sidebar, and Bassmnt).

The transportation options make this app stand out from others in the event space. Not only can users find events they would like to attend, but they can also hop on or book party buses to get to the venues as well as receive discounts for Uber.

Bar and nightclub owners also have something to be happy about with the launch of Bar World. The app is positioning itself as the first solution that allows venue owners to communicate directly with their most loyal customer base via mobile phone notifications.

“The world is going increasingly mobile each day,” said Liner. “We are creating a way for venue owners to communicate with their customer base in a quick, direct, and efficient manner. The venue owners can deliver the message to subscribers right where their customers get most of their information these days: in the palm of their hand.”

In March 2014 Flurry released a study showing that the average U.S. consumer spends 2 hours and 42 minutes on mobile device usage each day, a slight increase from the year before. The big difference is in how the consumers spend their time.

The use of mobile apps has risen to 86% of mobile device usage; while the use of the mobile web has continued to decline, and now only takes up 14% of that time.

Given the amount of time consumers spend on their mobile devices, and the portion of that time spent on apps rather the web, it would certainly seem that businesses can benefit greatly from tapping into this marketing opportunity.

Bar World looks poised to help venue owners do just that (at least in San Diego for now), while helping users find exactly what they are looking for: a fun night out.
