New Issue of UrbaniaMag.com to Highlight African American Books in the Publication Industry

The upcoming Black Books Matter issue and campaign hashtag aim to shed light on the lack of representation of black books and how if effects the book industry at BookExpo America.

(Indianapolis, IN, May 21, 2018) — It’s not hard to figure out what’s missing from the mainstream publication industry and its promotional events. Black books are all around us, but there hasn’t been a great focus on this important part of the publication industry. The next issue of UrbaniaMag, a publication of Art Official Media LLC, aims to change that with its upcoming issue, Black Books Matter, to be featured at this year’s BookExpo America.

UrbaniaMag’s special issue ‘Black Books Matter’ will serve as a guide to the who’s who of the publication industry, featuring resources, reading lists, agents, websites, publicists and publishers, to name a few. To be featured at the largest book trade fair, BookExpo America.

UrbaniaMag.com invites all organizations to submit content or support its parallel campaign, #blackbooksmatter, which will create awareness about the importance of diversity in books and especially publications for the African American audience.

As a meeting point of urban literature and art, the quarterly published UrbaniaMag.com aims to offer a platform where artists can showcase literature and mixed media works.

Our team recognized the dwindling of the African Americans in the industry and access through the Book Expo and #BlackBooksMatter issue hope to educate anyone interested in promoting, publishing marketing or selling books by people of color,” saidQ.B. Wells of Art Official Media.
