Alex D’Amico, a professional with a passion for music, has launched a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter for his My First Violin project. He is looking to spread his love for music by helping students learn intonation and shifting faster while taking violin lessons.
“It is tough to get your intonations right when you learn how to play the violin,” says Alex D’Amico, the brains behind My First Violin project. “It is our endeavor to make the process easy for early violin learners through this project. This alternative learning tool will not only be affordable but also help children sharpen their violin learning skills.”
Alex D’Amico and his team of experts have designed a unique and innovative fingerboard for the violin and other strings instruments to make it easy for students of music to get the basic intonations right. The violins that they have designed have markers built inside of the fingerboard for easy use. This will help the student learn intonation better. These violins also have markers on the thumb side of the fingerboard to help with shifting.
Alex D’Amico believes that their uniquely designed violins can increase the learning speed of students by up to 50%. This speed can give their confidence a major boost and also ensure that their parents can listen to the performances of their kids faster. This can be an affordable alternative learning tool that can help children all over the world make their dream of playing the violin like an expert come true sooner than later.
Alex D’Amico agrees that there are a few challenges that they have to deal with along the way. One of biggest challenge is to make sure that the sound quality of the violin is not affected or distorted in any manner. The manufacturers who are experts at violin making have ruled out any such possibility as the fingerboard will be made of the existing material.
Another challenge is to get customers to retrofit their existing violins with the current technology. If this is not done, then the whole violin will have to be recreated. The mechanics of doing this could be tough but Alex and his team is committed to making the technology available to a wider user base.
The funds they hope to raise from the Kickstarter campaign will be used to get their patent fully issued and to do their first test run of manufacturing the violin. We believe that we can make this an affordable alternative learning tool that will help children all around the world.
The Kickstarter campaign is aiming to raise $6000 by the targeted deadline of August 20, 2017. Participants can look forward to earning a host of incentives based on their level of contribution.
