“TK brings a whole new element to Musgrove Distribution” said Daniel Musgrove President.
“With Musgrove Distribution on my Team i am headed for Greatness” said TK.
There were a great many artists that TK gravitated towards such as Buju Banton, Bounty Killa, Beenieman, and Super Kat. His friends gave him the nickname “Top Khat” because he sounded so much like Super Kat. Eventually, the name evolved to TK, the name for which he is most widely known. TK will tell you that with all the music that he has loved and listened to, Bob Marley’s music is the one that has most deeply affected him. There has always been something about the “positive energy” that Marley’s sound created for him, and it was that sound combined with the other artists that propelled TK into an intense phase of musical experimentation during his formative years.
During TK’s musical upbringing, a veritable wave of Dancehall music permeated the United States, and TK found himself willingly “flowing with the current”. He loved the different melodies and the unmistakable rhythm and bass stylings that only the islands could create. TK has acquired a mastery of the genre, and he brings with his music all the fire and heat of Jamaica, with a certain edginess that can only be derived from his home town of Brooklyn. His music is good music, and TK prides himself in creating music that children can listen to it with their parents, just as he listened to music with his father. He will not use profanity or suggestive content in his music, as “culture music” keeps TK well-grounded with a positive perspective on life, love, and family.

About Musgrove Distribution
The #1 Source For Indie Urban Digital, Physical, Video & Film Distribution
Sean “TK” Sylvester was born in Brooklyn, NY, but he is a “Ja-American” through and through, as his parents are of Jamaican descent. In earlier days his father was a DJ for Makka B., one of the hottest sound systems of the 70’s. Growing up in a household with such powerful musical influence from his father, TK was exposed to various genres of music. The musical genres that had its greatest impact on him in his youth were Reggae and Dancehall.
