November 28, 2013, Washington, DC, USA. Mr. Minn Minn Oung, Chairman of Silver Wave Energy, Myanmar visited the New York Stock Exchange in New York City, USA on November 22, 2013.
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), located in Wall Street, New York City is by far the world’s largest stock exchange by market capitalization. The value of companies listed on the NYSE total nearly $16.6 Trillion. Silver Wave Energy Chairman stated after the visit, “One day in our recent future, perhaps as early as 2014, we will begin the process of listing our company, Silver Wave Energy, on the NYSE. That will mark a historic day for Silver Wave, as well as for my country, Myanmar. I see a great future for us.”
Silver Wave Energy is one of Myanmar’s leading businesses, with interests in mining, energy, oil and gas exploration, land development, and hospitality sectors. Mr. Oung is one of Myanmar’s young and upcoming business leaders who has business interests in many countries, including Australia, India, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. He is now keen to develop two-way business ties with the U.S., the largest economy in the world.
The NYSE visit marked the culmination of Mr. Oung’s visit to the United States. He is optimistic about the financial future of both Myanmar and Silver Wave Energy.
