Kennett Square, PA, USA – 4 Apr, 2017 – Mala Galleria has announced that they will be hosting an art exhibition on 7th of April 2017 showing the inspiring work of Rhoda Kahler and John Baker. The show titled “Full Circle” will be opened on Friday, April 7th with an artist reception from 6-9 PM. Rhoda Kahler and John Baker will be present at the opening reception and the art show will continue through the month of April.
Mala Galleria is known for exhibiting art works from local, national and international artists, giving them a great platform to share their work with the world and “Full Circle” will continue that tradition of the renowned art gallery.
“John and I have been working in his spacious West Grove Studio the past month listening to great music and having great conversations while we are working and it has been a wonderful experience,” said Rhoda Kahler while talking about John Baker. Rhoda is a ceramic artist living in West Chester, Pennsylvania and she is known for her remarkable tile work that has been featured in magazines, newspapers and on television, including on the Home and Garden Television network (HGTV). “What I love the most about John is that he is all about symmetry and balance,” she added.
“Rhoda was committed, focused, passionate, and a model student, that I challenged the medium, and scale wasn’t a concern,” said John Baker, who also taught Rhoda back in the 90’s.
John is not only her friend but has also been teaching her. Both artists will be welcoming the participants and guests this Friday on Mala Galleria’s Full Circle exhibition.
Both Rhoda and John are highly accomplished at the international level with John being a gifted teacher who has inspired many students and art lovers.
Rhoda created the centennial tiles for the Delaware Art Museum in her Alphabet City motif and most recently, she finished a Guest Artist Residency at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, for their Form and Art Program. Just like John, her biggest inspiration in art is nature and both artists are not only devoted to art, but have also made great contributions in promoting it.
