11 October, 2016 – Newton, MA – Today, Newton Dental Group, a clinic that provides dental care is announcing the environmentally friendly renovation of their office, products, and services. They are making changes like installing energy efficient LED lighting, water efficient plumbing and recycled patient “goody bags”.
Dr. Brendon Chiou, a dentist, and local tufts graduate, owns the Newton Dental Group. His idea of creating an earth-friendly dental clinic has been welcomed by the patients and entire community. Speaking on the renovation Dr. Chiou said, “We are very excited about this renovation and how people have responded to it. It has always been my dream to create impact in the community and world, by practicing my profession in an environmental friendly atmosphere. We hope that other local businesses will consider to do the same”.
This type of renovation will definitely have significant impact on energy consumption and usage. For example, LED lasts up to 50000 hrs/bulb or 500% longer than an incandescent bulb. Also, an average business will save about $44.00/yr. by switching just five bulbs. “I like what Dr. Chiou is doing. We all need to start preserving energy, not just in our homes but offices too. He is a real inspiration to the community and I am proud of him,” said Michael O, one of Dr. Chiou’s patients.
