Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP is pleased to announce that Indiana Lt. Gov.-elect Sue Ellspermann will be the keynote speaker at the annual Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP Legislative Conference on Dec. 13. Ellspermann’s address is scheduled during the lunch session that begins at noon at the Indiana Convention Center.
“We are extremely proud to have Lt. Gov.-elect Ellspermann as our featured keynote speaker for this year’s conference,” said W. Tobin McClamroch, Co-Chairman of the firm. “Scheduled only weeks before the General Assembly convenes, the conference offers first-hand information from decision-makers, thought leaders, policymakers and engaged public servants from across the state. We look forward to hearing Sue discuss the top goals of the incoming Pence administration.”
Ellspermann and Indiana Gov.-elect Mike Pence are preparing to take office in January. The Pence campaign ran on a platform to give Indiana “A Vision for the State that Works.” Some of the goals that Pence and Ellspermann look to accomplish during their time in office include improving the quality of the Hoosier workforce, increasing private sector employment and attracting new investments in Indiana, emphasizing manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences and logistics. Ellspermann joins a legacy of notable Legislative Conference keynote speakers, which have included Indiana governors and attorneys general.
The 2012 Legislative Conference will also feature Glenda Ritz, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction-elect, who will be speaking on the K-12 Education panel. Other sessions at this year’s conference include a legislative look at 2013, a discussion on how health care reform impacts Indiana, a panel discussion on the future of Hoosier power plants, the annual media panel and the WISH-TV and Ball State University 2012 Hoosier survey results on the views of Hoosiers toward key issues and institutions.
