Los Angeles, California – September 15, 2016 – A feisty, rambunctious evening is in store for Los Angeles with NG2 Rumbon Salsero 2016 taking place on Saturday, September 24. The event schedule has been formally announced by the promoter My Dance Productions, and tickets can be bought online with great discounts.
Latin music is today at its most mature phase in Los Angeles and the rest of the world, with Salsa and Bachata making regular appearances. The NG2 Rumbon Salsero 2016 Concert will see two leading lights of the Salsa scene, Norberto Velez and Gerardo Rivas, the Pueto Rican duo behind NG2. Rivas is the son of Jerry Rivas, singer in the El Gran Combo band, and is famous since childhood as the voice behind “Gerardito y los Rockolos”. The event will also feature Frankie Ruiz Junior, Kayvan Vega, Son Miron, DJ Jojo and DJ Mike Ticas.
NG2 has scaled heights of fame in a short span, winning the Latin Billboard in 2005 for Best Tropical Song. Battling public doubts over their success at the debut, both Norberto Velez and Gerardo Rivas have proven the critics wrong, even singing “Mi salsa se respeta” to send out a message that they have arrived.
