“vMix to release PTZ camera control for PTZOptics cameras along with SONY and Panasonic.”
The leading live streaming software providers today are: Livestream, NewTek, WireCast and vMix. NAB 2016 is always the proving grounds where these companies come out to show the latest features and innovations. This year vMix has already announced NewTek NDI integration and PTZ camera control.

Las Vegas, NV – The live streaming software manufacture vMix has announced PTZ camera control will be supported in vMix 17. The software company has plans to release vMix 17 at this year’s North American Broadcast show along with support for the NewTek NDI. The North American Broadcast show or “NAB” is the world’s largest broadcast production tradeshow hosted at the Las Vegas convention center this year in April.

Along with PTZ camera control vMix has announce support for the NewTek NDI which is another hot topic for the broadcast industry. NewTek manufactures the notoriuosly popular TriCaster and PTZOptics is the industry’s most popular affordable PTZ camera manufacture. PTZOptics is on the vMix list for compatible cameras along with Panasonic and SONY.

On the NewTek side over 20 companies have announced compatibility for the new open source streaming software called NDI or “Network Device Interface”. By adding support for both technologies vMix is making a major leap forward in the live streaming industry. Even leap-frogging current competitors who include: Telestream WireCast and Vidblaster.

Pan tilt zoom cameras are a particular hot topic as they provide a single producers the ability to use multiple scenes remotely without camera operators.
