November 30, 2017: Internationally renowned American therapist Dr. Randolph D. Sconiers aka Dr. S has proudly announced that his social platform called Mental-Hop is bringing mental health education and awareness through the popular hip hop culture. The platform is basically a place where hip hop is combined with mental health in order to enlighten and educate the masses. Hip Hop is becoming the most popular genre of music and by combining it with a serious issue of mental health, Dr. S is serving the community like never before.
“With this inspiring project of Mental-Hop, a lot of people can gain exposure from Hip-Hop Publications such as Vibe, Source, XXL and Mass Appeal, etc.” said Dr. Randolph D. Sconiers, while talking about the project. “We regularly organize Mental-Hop Symposiums, workshops and other social events at high schools, colleges and universities to raise awareness and we are welcoming the community to support this project.” He added. Dr. S. is a Doctor of Social Work as well as a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker and he is currently booking Mental-Hop symposiums for 2018.
In addition, Mental-Hop also works in close collaboration with youth organizations to arrange group discussions with about 15-20 participants in each group. Moreover, this platform is playing a major role to helping in the reduction of stigma for the youth.
