December 10th, 2017 – A crowd funding campaign to allow production of a virtual assistant that integrates the power of Alexa and Okay Google into one portable device has been launched at Indiegogo. Jinni, a new and revolutionary visual assistant will give an experience that allows one to enjoy the best of both worlds. The campaign is seeking to raise $50,000.
“Jinni will help integrate voice assistant in a way that has not been experienced before,” said one of the senior managers while adding that the amount raised will go a long way in ensuring a successful manufacturing experience. Jinni can be described as a Sci-Fi Communicator that integrates Okay Google, Alexa, and Jinni (Android) – or Siri (iOS). It allows the user to experience all the virtual assistants without having to pick favorites. It has been described as the best of the both worlds, where the user gets a brand new virtual assistance to read notification or tell time, read a text or respond to a voice command.
It is a small Bluetooth button that integrates the power of Alexa, and Okay Google into one portable device for Android or Siri for IOS. Jinni is both wearable and magnetic. It can be fixed in the refrigerator door, shower wall, steering wheel, or at the purse. The device connects to the phone through Bluetooth and uses the phone’s data to connect to the Alexa, Siri, and Google Voice servers.
Backers will get one of multiple Jinnis, each depending on the perk which has been chosen. The goal is to reach $50,000, an amount that will allow Jinni to move from prototype to production. The first batch of PCB assembly has been completed. What needs to be done is completion of the final plasting tooling, finish the FCC certification, complete the training of the wake words, improve the APP design and finish the packaging design. The designers are confident that these process will be completed soon, to allow people to have a taste of a great virtual assistant.
