New York – June, 2016 – Jill Brock, author of the Maggie and Odessa Mysteries, has released another fiction book called “The Thursday Night Killers Book Club’. The book is scheduled to be launched on June 10, 2016 in New York City.
The book “The Thursday Night Killers Book Club” is an 83,000 word novel meant to be the first in a new mystery series. It is set in the backdrop of New York City, the book would appeal to mystery fans, amateur sleuths and reading about the sometimes challenging yet heartfelt relationships of friends.
According to the author, Jill Brock “I turned toward the creative arts therapies for my career. Later, when I returned to my love of books and writing, I decided I wanted to write a book. Several attempts and manuscripts later, I had written my first book, Pennywise, loosely based on her experience of running a restaurant, being one of three sisters and growing up in Queens, New York. The writing of this new fiction book has taken a lot of time and I am happy to launch it.”
As culled from the book, every Thursday night friend, Jerri, Sabrina and Cece, members of a book club do meet at McGuire’s bar in downtown Manhattan, more to work their way through the cocktail menu than to discuss the latest New York Times bestseller list. Along with own genre preferences, they bring their personal drama to the table. When Sabrina decided to get rid of her husband from a quickie marriage, she solicits her friends and half the female bar patrons in an alcohol induced round table debate of methods and means. The end results produced a detailed if not hilarious ‘Kill List’. When the fun and games are over and Sabrina’s husband is found dead on the Bronx bound Number Six train, her friends wonder if she took the list a little too seriously.
It is worthy to note that the author, Jill Brock will be available for interview from journalist, media group representatives and individuals.
The fiction book will be available in Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, Ingram, baker & Taylor or Createspace Direct.
