Kingston, Jamaica – Internationally acclaimed, award-winning song writer and Gospel Artiste, Mr. Jermaine Gordon, is proud to announce the release of his latest single, Heal Our Land. Starting November 27, 2017, the single will become available through Mr. Gordon’s website, www.jermainedgordon.com. To celebrate the single’s release, Mr. Gordon will make a special offer to his fans, making Heal Our Land available for free download from his website, for up to 48 hours after its release.
Mr. Gordon has written and performed three hit songs from his debut album: You Are God, Holy & Righteous, My Shackles Are Broken and Thine is the Kingdom. You Are God, Holy & Righteous is Mr. Gordon’s most popular single to date, receiving constant airplay, throughout the past five years, in the Caribbean, USA, Columbia, Kenya and Ghana.
Heal Our Land is a cry for healing, and for God to teach people to love one another, as, according to Mr. Gordon, “He is, after all, Love, and He is Compassion.” Partly inspired by the true story of an impoverished mother-of-fourteen, who has seen some of her children grow up to become a scourge to society, Mr. Gordon commented on the song’s hapless protagonist, saying that “As she aged and became sickly she also suffered emotional pain from being neglected by her children and grandchildren.”
The song was recorded during a spirited, live-instrument recording session, which took place in the island of Jamaica. Heal Our Land is one of the 12 tracks in total that are included in Mr. Gordon’s much-anticipated new album, which is set to be released in early 2018.
