Legendary folk rocker Jackson Browne recently announced the initial dates for his 2017 tour. TicketProcess.com has moved quickly to make a large selection of affordable tickets available to all fans of the German-born man who penned and performed some of the best American songs in the 1980s.
The run of shows entitled The (Pretty Much) Somewhat Acoustic Tour will begin in Hershey, Pennsylvania on April 5 and run through the end of the month, when it concludes in Vancouver on April 27 with a show at The Center in Vancouver for Performing Arts. The performance is the final of eight Canadian shows on the docket.
Brown was born to an American father who worked for an American newspaper in Germany in the late 1960s. At the age of three, he moved to Los Angeles. By the time he was 18 years old, he had graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton and had joined the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He wrote a handful of songs for the popular country-folk group while also cutting his teeth as a live performer.
The stepping stone led to other opportunities, and he released his initial, self-entitled studio album in 1972. It showcased his knack for putting together a deep and meaningful tune, as well as his vocal prowess that was and still is plenty strong enough to carry an entire show.
By the time the 1980s rolled around, Brown had weaved himself into the American folk music culture. In fact, he was one of the front men. In 1982, he recorded Somebody’s Baby for the wildly-popular teenage flick Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The song shot to the top the charts, and the hits kept coming in the following years.
He has produced a total of 14 studio albums, the most recent coming in 2014. This gives Browne a huge library of music to select from whilst putting together set lists for the upcoming partially-acoustic performances. All fans can find Jackson Brown 2017 tour tickets now TicketProcess.com.
