The Columbia Review

The story is based on the life of Leah Andrews, an archaeologist who comes across something inexplicable in inside a dark cavern in southwestern New Mexico, This Native American cliff has been abandoned for at least 800 years. Moving through narrow passages, Andrews flashlight falls upon what seems to be the remains of a violent massacre. The remains are of slaughtered humans in a massacre that took place long ago. The cavern floor is gorgeously covered with granite crystals, which are only found on a frozen mountain range in central Antarctica.

The plot of the story has fascinated many critics and readers alike who have appreciated the suspense, mystery and the thrilling aspect of the book. Several readers have mentioned that the book features such a great suspense that it keeps them on the edge of their seat and hard to put the book down. As the story proceeds, mystery increases and questions arise such as whether the native Americans have traveled to the frozen continent of Antarctica 800 years before the first human exploration, as humans know.

There is only one person who can take Leah to the mountains in Antarctica and it’s her estranged husband and climbing guide Jack Hobson. They embark on a journey making stunning discoveries which will change the history and science forever.
