Horror staple Justin Price continues to blend and mix genres

Filmmaker has two films due for release over the next two months

Genre staple Justin Price is quickly becoming one of the go-to names in indie horror.

The filmmaker, who cut his teeth on 2010 film Daddy’s Home before moving on to notable genre titles The Cloth and Dark Moon Riding, has made a considerable amount of films in a relatively short time.

“I have directed eight films since 2012”, the writer/filmmaker tells Blasting News. “The goal for me is to do everything I want to leave for the world. I don’t want to leave any creative ideas untouched. Doing things that scare me are the most rewarding. Most of the films I have done blend and mix genres.”

Most of the films Price has crafted have been acquired by leading home entertainment distributor Uncork’d Entertainment.

“Anytime Keith Leopard and Uncork’d Entertainment chooses your film, it has to be pretty special. What has been great about the response is a lot of people have appreciated what we were able to accomplish at this budget range. Pikchure Zero Entertainment has been on the forefront of creating stories that meld genres for the past three years. So every time we make a film it is amazing to have such a wide array of support.”

Out this quarter from the young filmmaker, THE 13TH FRIDAY and THE ELF, releasing in October and November, respectively.

An ancient spirit comes home this October with The 13th Friday, premiering on VOD 10/10 from Uncork’d Entertainment.

When a female refugee discovers an ancient demonic device that opens the gateway to another realm, she unleashes a dark entity that poses as her daughter. After many failed attempts to have the church explain the creation of her worst nightmares, she learns that the house is cursed by an enraged spirit that died on Friday the 13th. And now a group of thrill seeking friends unknowingly unleash its wrath and damn their souls.

Lisa May, Khu, Melissa L. Vega, and Victoria Valdez star in a Justin Price (Alien : Reign of Man, Dark Moon Rising) film.

This Holiday Season All Is Not Calm.

This November, warm up the eggnog, slap on a silly jumper and gather around the TV for the enchantingly frightening tale of an ancient elf doll that comes to life and terrorizes an unsuspecting family in Uncork’d Entertainment’s The Elf!

If Pennywise warmed the cockles of your heart, and if you feel Chucky is the gift that keeps on giving, reward yourself with some quality time with The Elf!

Nick is haunted by night terrors stemming from a tragic murder he saw when he was young.  After inheriting an old toy shop, he discovers a cursed elf doll sealed inside an ancient chest with a naughty list of his family’s names written on it. He soon discovers that the elf was an evil conduit meant to unleash a supernatural killing spree during the Christmas Holidays by whomever set it free.

A bloody treat arrives November 7 on VOD and December 12 on DVD with The Elf, written and directed by Justin Price (The 13th Friday) and starring Natassia Halabi, Les Best, and Joseph Daniel Ellis.
