Dr. Ardekani was educated at Shiraz University Medical School and completed a residency at Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is additionally a professional member of the American Academy of Addiction, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association. Additionally, he was the medical director of the psychiatric unit at Saint Anthony Medical Center twice, Jefferson Memorial Hospital for 10 years and the Psychiatric Institute of America, which is part of the National Medical Enterprise.
Dr. Ardekani attributes his success to being very personable, listening to his patients, and having a good rapport with his patients and colleagues. When not teaching or assisting patients, he enjoys tennis, mountain biking, all types of music, poetry and writing.
