Global Divers Dive Center & Academy, a leading dive center in the Dominican Republic, announced today that the company will hold its Divemaster to Open Water Instructor Internship courses December 4 – 16, 2015. The career internship program gives novice divers an opportunity to learn how to become a certified open water scuba diving instructor.
The internship program is led by professional PADI instructors and PADI course directors. Participants begin their instruction in one of the company’s swimming pools on the Beach Resort Barcelo Dominican Beach. Ocean dives are made in front of the resort, just a short five-minute boat ride away. The theory section of the course is supported by visual mediums and interactive learning which are designed to be both fun and motivational.
Global Divers Dive Center & Academy offers comprehensive instruction, including Open Water Diver certification to Advanced, Emergency First Response and Rescue, Divemaster, followed by the Instructor Development Course and Emergency First Response Instructor certification. Participants will gain experience in a variety of diving conditions and will earn five specialty certifications to gain their Master Scuba Diver rating. Participants will also learn the special skills for diving in certain conditions, including deep, navigation, search and recovery, and wreck. All of the dives offer numerous opportunities to fine-tune diving skills.
To participate in the program, divers must be 18 years or older and possess a medical statement confirming that they are fit for scuba diving. They must also provide their own diving equipment, including a dive computer, knife, surface marker and whistle. Rental equipment is available with the option to buy.
