Global Cash Registers Market – Analysis and Forecast to 2020

IndexBox has just published a new report “World: Cash Registers – Market Report. Analysis and Forecast to 2020”.

The global trade in cash registers amounted to 2,864 million USD in 2015, showing strong fluctuations over the period under review. A significant drop in 2009 was followed by a recovery over the next three years, until exports posted a slight decline in 2013, bouncing back the year after. Overall, there was an annual increase of +7.5% from 2007 to 2015. 

According to IndexBox estimates, China continued its dominance in the global supplies of cash registers. In 2015, China’s exports of cash registers totaled 894.9 million USD, which accounted for a 23% share of global exports. Vietnam, USA, Malaysia, and Taipei were the other key global suppliers of cash registers in 2015, with a 36% combined share of global exports. 

Vietnam and Malaysia were the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2015. Vietnam rushed into the global cash registers exports, growing its share from fairly 0% in 2007 to 14% in 2015. 

On the other hand, USA (23%, based on value terms), the UK (8%), Australia (4%), Singapore (4%), and Germany (4%) were the leading destinations of imports of cash registers in 2015. Imports to Singapore grew at a rapid pace of +28.7% per year from 2007 to 2015. By contrast, USA significantly contracted its imports of cash registers over the same period. The share of Singapore in terms of global imports increased significantly (+3 percentage points), while the share of the USA illustrated negative dynamics (-8 percentage points).
