Find out if your car is ready for holiday travel by getting a free 10-point vehicle safety inspection compliments of Montlick & Associates. As part of its ongoing commitment to public service and family safety, the Georgia Personal Injury Law Firm has partnered with the Safe America Foundation – the metro Atlanta non-profit leader in driver safety – to provide a free auto safety check, Saturday, December 15th from 11am to 5pm at the DEKRA inspection center, 4704 Woodstock Road in Roswell Georgia. Experts from the Safe America Foundation will be on hand to perform the inspection which includes:
1. a close-up look at tire treads to make sure they have sufficient tread and no puncture wounds
2. a review of windshield wiper blades
3. a look ‘under-the-hood’ at any belts
4. an oil check
5. a battery check
6. headlight check
7. turn signal check
8. review of auto emission inspection sticker (to make sure it’s current)
9. brake light check
10. brake ‘test’
Neglected maintenance can lead to more than just unexpected breakdowns and travel delays. Research indicates that unperformed maintenance is a contributing factor in 1 out of every 20 accidents.
“We’re really pleased to sponsor this free car safety check, ” says Montlick & Associates Chief Executive Officer and Founder, David Montlick. “Simple and routine upkeep will help you get to your destination more safely this holiday, and could also save you hundreds, and even thousands of dollars in avoidable repair costs. If your car has not been inspected recently, we urge you to take advantage of this free public service.”
Appointments for the December 15th free inspection can be made by visiting safeamerica.org or calling them at 770-973-SAFE. Event information is also posted at montlick.com.
