He has played about 160 shows in the time since, and his wife has helped make the jaunt multi-dimensional and highly worthwhile for fans from coast-to-coast. These concerts will follow six scheduled appearances in Phoenix in mid-to-late October and three San Diego shows covering November’s first weekend.
As many as three dozen songs have been played at some venues over the last 12 months of live shows. The typical formula involves Brooks playing a dozen or so of his most recognizable hits from the past before joining Yearwood for a few duets and leaving the stage for 20 or 30 minutes while Yearwood shows off her most popular creations.
When Brooks comes back onto the stage, the energy levels ratchet up immediately. The performer known for ushering country music out of an era of simplicity and into an era of worldwide recognition will likely have several tricks up his sleeve when he takes to the stage in Salt Lake City.
