Focus Issues in Children Linked to Air Pollution & Environmental Toxins

A study published in Environmental Health Perspectives discovered that hyperactivity and focus issues in children can be linked to traffic-related pollution exposure. Bioray kids, a new line of Children’s Herbal Products designed to minimize the effects environmental toxins have on children, is not surprised by the recent findings and is offering advice on what Parents can do to protect their children.

“I have always suspected that as exposure to daily toxins increase, that there would be a cumulative impact that could be making our kids even more susceptible to behavioral and learning conditions. The findings in this study now show a definitive link between environmental pollution and some types of learning disabilities,” said Bioray CEO Stephanie Ray.

In the most comprehensive study ever conducted on traffic-related exposure and kids’ health, scientists followed 576 children in the Cincinnati area from the time they were born until age 7. The children were separated into two groups: those who lived near a prominent highway or bus route, and kids who were more than a mile away from areas with heavy traffic.

The scientists concluded that the group who lived closest to major highways were far more likely to have focus, clarity, and behavioral issues compared those who lived farther away from major traffic arteries.

“Since children grow at such a fast rate, especially in early childhood, these new findings are alarming. More needs to be done to reduce toxins and safely remove them, not only from our environment-but our children’s bodies as well,” said Ray.

What can you do for you child, naturally?

Giving your child organic food that supports their liver, the organ responsible for processing toxins is a great place to start. Incorporating a plant-based detoxifier that binds and removes toxins is extremely important, as the body cannot remove them without help.

Serve plenty of fresh fruits and lightly cooked vegetables, especially broccoli and dark green leafy vegetables and orange, yellow, purple, and red colored fruits and vegetables.
