With 1.59 Billion users worldwide, building in a free, easy to use live streaming application is going to change the way we think about Facebook. The “built-in” element makes live streaming easier than ever. With live streaming viewership up 81% from 2015, apps like this are soon becoming an essential part of social media behavior.

“Facebook’s new live streaming application is going to jump start an industry that’s already on fire” says Paul Richards, Chief Streaming Officer for PTZOptics. “The new Facebook Live Streaming app offers direct plug and play integration with our USB camera models allowing users to add professional video production to their facebook live streams.” Released at the end of 2016, the app is being rolled out selectively throughout the Facebook Platform.
If you do not see this feature when logged into Facebook on your desktop computer it is coming soon. Facebook’s network is extremely large so the application will be added to all accounts gradually during the year.
