The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Ashraf Mohamed, MD, Neurologist, to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. He is a highly-trained and qualified neurologist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders and pain related to neurological diseases states such as neuropathy, and brain/spine disorders. Dr. Mohamed has been practicing for over 27 years and is currently serving patients at the University Pain Clinic in Detroit, Michigan. He performs Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Studies, and also acts as Director of the Neurology clinic at the University Pain Clinic. Furthermore, Dr. Mohamed is affiliated with the Detroit Medical Center.
Dr. Mohamed obtained his medical degree in 1985. He then interned at the Medical College of Ohio and served his residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed his Fellowships in Electromyography and Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine through Wayne State School of Medicine/DMC. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed is board certified in neurology and psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, in pain medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine, and in headache medicine by the American Board of Headache Medicine. Dr. Mohamed has been recognized for all of his achievements, earning the Most Compassionate Doctor in the United States Award five year honoree in 2014. He has also earned the Patient’s Choice Award 5th anniversary from 2008 to 2014, and was named a Top 10 Doctor in the state of Michigan by USA News in 2014. In addition, Dr. Mohammed was chosen by the International Association of HealthCare Professionals as one of The Leading Physicians of the World in 2012.
Dr. Mohamed stays at the forefront of a challenging profession through his professional society memberships with the American Medical Association, the Egyptian Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and The Movement Disorder Society. He attributes his success to his father’s support as a young boy, and the support of his mother and children today. Dr. Mohamed dedicates his spare time to soccer and reading.
