Google has launched +Post ads, a way for brands to turn all of their Google+ posts into interactive advertisements. All you need to do is great a post and then set it into Google’s stream and it will show up throughout their advertising network. While it has been in beta since December of 2013, it has since gone live and is available to all companies who have more than a thousand followers on their Google+ page. For more information one can read the WarriorForum.com – The Super List Review thread.
It’s the same idea as promoting posts on Facebook, but these end up on the Google Display Network. There is a “Click to Expand” link that allows for a lightbox view to pop up in fullscreen. Each ad is totally interactive, so users can comment, share it or even +1 it, if they are logged into Google+. More information maybe seen on the Facebook.com – The Super List Review fanpage.
When it comes to engagement, Google reports that Toyota USA found it brought a 50% higher rate than when using other campaign methods. They not only work to sell products, but they can help to boost engagement on Google+ too. ASOS used these ads to bring in more viewers for a Google Hangout, with almost two-thirds watching through the ad itself. One can watch the YouTube.com – The Super List Review video for more insights as well.
For simplicity, Google offers the option to have all of your most recent posts become one of these ads, but you only have to pay if the content is opened and interacted with. This can save you a ton of time choosing which posts to promote, plus it keeps your content fresh while keeping users engaged.
If you are looking for a new avenue to push relevant, interactive ads out to the masses, try out the new +Post ads and see what they can offer you. This is certainly a cool way to be able to market your sales pitch through social media!
