Two Asian dudes from Southern California, Khai McBride and Scott Yonehrio are launching their brand new podcast, “Getting Yolked”. This podcast is now live and available on iTunes, Google Play, Sound Cloud, and Stitcher and is expected to become a big hit with fans of the Comedy world.

This is the first podcast McBride and Yonehrio have hosted. This podcast was created with the goal of introducing the world to the unique perspective of two opinionated Asian’s with something to say and promote – “Real Talk With A Slant”.
Each week, Scott Yonehiro and Khai McBride discuss getting through life in today’s upside down socio-political environment. They discuss everything from dating, women, world events, fitness, being a man, sports, business and their undying love for Kate Beckinsale in a raw, politically incorrect, no holds barred style. America called and they answered. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because there’s finally a raw and honest Asian perspective on real issues that all Americans deal with on a day-to-day basis.
Getting Yolked sets its main focus on Comedy, exploring real life situations from a unique and edgy perspective. Listeners will likely be amused by their unique perspective on a wide variety of topics and why they love Kate Beckinsale. Getting Yolked is available on iTunes, SoundCloud and Google Play.
Scott Yonehrio was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. He moved to Los Angeles 20 years ago and now runs a personal training business in Burbank, CA. Though the more liberal and laid back of the duo, Scott finds nothing more entertaining than to challenge all viewpoints in a blunt, childlike manner. Nothing is safe with Scott as he is not afraid to speak his mind.
Khai McBride was born in Vietnam but came to Los Angeles at the age of 2. He is a business coach in the mortgage industry with clients all over the nation. Raised in the fast-paced, liberal city of Los Angeles, Khai has maintained his traditional views which gives him a very paradoxical view of life. Known for his witty humor, he brings a straightforward edge to the comedy duo. This helped shaped the creation of the book two Asian dudes from Southern California, discuss getting through life in today’s upside down socio-political environment.
When asked about why they started the podcast, Yonehrio said: “We heard the cries of the world in this apocalyptic environment and we listened. We’re here to make America fun again.”
Yonehrio and McBride have hopes that the podcast will promote peace and Yellowness for everyone.
This positive outlook from the creators is certainly a testament to their optimism considering some of the mishaps during its creation. At one point what started out as a Getting Yolked meeting between Scott, Khai, and business colleagues Chris Lawson and Chris Burton, quickly turned into a story telling session of crazy dates and encounters with William Shatner. So they decided, what better way to share stories and laughter than to turn on the microphones and invite the public to listen.
In a recent interview, the creators made a point of thanking “all of the people who made our life so interesting and continually give us stuff to talk about.” Adding, “Special thanks to the Alpha Females of the world for the never ending stream of memes and stories we can share on our podcast and social media.”
