The Haitian national team has a long history in the world of international football and won the Caribbean Cup in 2007. Their leader will be captain Johnny Placide, while the Ecuadorian national football team is led by captain Walter Ayovi. They have made it into three FIFA World Cups, but have never won a Copa America to date.
The MetLife Stadium is within the famous Meadowlands area and is home to the New York Jets and the New York Giants. It is well-known as a spot for international soccer matches, and hosted a FIFA World Cup exhibition match in 2012. During the summer of 2016, Coldplay and Kenny Chesney will headline here in front of sellout crowds.
