Diabetes reality TV show \”Reversed\” set to re-air on COX Communications nationwide November 4th

TAMPA, Fla. – Oct. 30, 2017 – After a successful inaugural season, Bella & Elle Media LLC, announced that ReverseD, the first diabetes reality TV series, will re-air across Cox Communications, the third largest cable provider nationally, beginning weekly on November 4th, with MannKind Corporation continuing its sponsorship of the program to further awareness around the challenges and opportunities for successfully living with diabetes.

Created, produced and hosted by Bob Marley’s nephew and World Diabetes Advocate Charles Mattocks, the series aims to educate, entertain and inspire those impacted by diabetes with tips and techniques to live healthy lives. The 10-episode inaugural season first aired this summer on Discovery Life. A preview of the show can be seen at https://vimeo.com/238711367/2fa0661c20.

“We had a very successful run on Discovery Life Channel,” Mattocks said. “We are excited to team up with MannKind and COX Communications to bring the tools and lessons in each episode of the series to the fresh, new audience that COX provides.”

MannKind Corporation, the makers of Afrezza® (insulin human) inhalation powder, is the title sponsor for ReverseD. The only inhaled rapid-acting mealtime insulin in the industry, Afrezza is used to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes. For more information, including important safety information, on Afrezza, visit www.afrezza.com.

“Afrezza is an amazing option for many with diabetes; I recommend it for anyone looking for a faster-acting mealtime insulin that is also easily inhalable,” said Mattocks.

According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 30 million people in the United States are living with diabetes. Last year, over five million deaths worldwide were recorded as a result of diabetes and its complications.

“Among the millions of adults living with diabetes, too many are unaware of Afrezza,” said Michael Castagna, Chief Executive Officer, MannKind Corporation. “Airing ReverseD on COX can open the eyes of viewers to the options and possibilities of living a fulfilling life with diabetes. We look forward to the continued success of the show and the awareness it will bring to its audience.”

ReverseD covers the story of five people with diabetes who are seeking hope while they grapple with the effects of diabetes complications, ranging from blindness to amputation.  The show follows Charles and a team of experts to a beautiful retreat in the exotic destination of Montego Bay, Jamaica where participants learn, boot camp style, how to successfully manage diabetes.  Participants learn how to make healthy choices and incorporate lifestyle practices such as exercise, yoga, and meditation, as well as individual and group therapy.

The show features people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and provides great family entertainment, especially for those seeking to lose weight and improve their health through healthy lifestyle habits.
