El Paso TX dentist Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj, of Dr. Darj Dental, helped the residents of El Paso and surrounding communities during these difficult economic times by giving free Emergency Dental Treatment on Friday, February 23.

The free dental treatments were given at Dr. Darj’s office located at 1861 Robert Wynn St, #D El Paso, TX 79936. 

“There was a huge turnout at the event. We serviced 77 people and performed various procedures. There were cleanings, fillings, and tooth extractions,” explains Dr. Darj, adding, “we provided services worth over $20,000 in production!” 

The Emergency Dental Treatment Day was designed to treat anyone (adult or child) for free who cannot afford dentistry. 

Dr. Darj was inspired to produce this community effort, after reading a report years ago, about how an increasing number of Americans are having to forgo dental care, because they have no insurance and unable to afford the cost of a visit to the dentist. She has been organizing these events every year since then. In addition to the Emergency Dental Treatment Day, Dr. Darj and her staff give back to the community with many other types of special offers, events, and charity partnerships.

According to Dr. Darj, “Anyone with a dental emergency and could not afford it was provided with Emergency Dental Treatment at NO COST on a first-come first-served basis.”  

April was one of the patients who came in and got a fillinw. She described her experience: “I loved it! I’m usually nervous at the dentist, but not today. No pain! Everyone was really nice!”
