Dead and Company is an American Rock band that was formed by John Mayer and former Grateful Dead guitar player Bob Weir in 2015 after Mayer invited Weir to join him in a studio performance while hosting the The Late Late Show. After the two hit it off, Mayer joined Weir and the other three surviving Grateful Dead members on their 50th anniversary tour called Fare Thee Well.
Dead and Company consists of Mayer and Weir as well as former Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann both on the drums.
