Dayton Claudio, an artist whose artwork is inspired by natural forms and the serenity of the open landscape, has announced that his crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter is live and running now to fund VESU Ceramic Travel Mugs project. VESU mugs are ceramic coffee travel mugs whose designs are inspired by ancient Mediterranean cultures created for the New World.
“VESU ceramic travel mugs are made of all natural materials and classically designed for the New World,” says Dayton Claudio, the artist with a massive collection of both public and private artworks. “These are 16 Oz. cups that are microwave, dishwasher and food safe. I have been making the VESU mugs on a small scale but want to produce them in larger quantities now so that more people can use them.”
VESU ceramic coffee mugs is a project with success written all over it as all the VESU mugs that Dayton Claudio has created to date have been sold locally successfully. The artist is confident that there is a large market of buyers available for these beautiful mugs made of all natural materials. VESU mugs are inspired by Amphora Vessels and ancient Spice Routes and created for the modern world.
According to Dayton Claudio, he has partnered with an American company that has manufacturing business in Thailand. They in turn, have chosen a local company that’s a family run business known for their high quality craftsmanship superb working conditions. He is sure that the venture will be a success and they will be able to meet their perceived business goals.
The artwork that Dayton Claudio creates is inspired by natural forms and the serenity of the open landscape. He had held several exhibitions, and has completed numerous Public Art commissions across the USA. Dayton did his MFA from San Jose State University, MA from California State University Chico. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Santa Barbara. His preferred medium of work is oil and acrylic paint on epoxy/glass composite. He has also created art work in metal and glass. He has retired from teaching, having worked previously at CSUC and Butte College.
VESU ceramic coffee mugs are available in multiple color themes and are made of 100% natural materials including the ceramic, cork and leather. The mugs are created by hand pouring the raw material into slip cast moulds and brushed on glazes. The glazes used for VESU are Prop 65 certified food safe. The project will start with just four color schemes initially but many more themes will be added at a later date.
