About Dahlia Black

Dahlia Black is an undiscovered local hip hop artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She has been rapping since the age of 13, and has learned to master her craft over the years.  Dahlia doesn’t look at herself as a rapper, but rather an MC, and a lyricist.  Her music stems from a place of pain, and experience.  She feels her story can help someone.

The response she gets is always positive, and her fans and listeners are supportive of her music because of what she delivers.  Her music is always captivating, and leaves listeners wanting to hear more.  Dahlia feels that her delivery is key in the music she creates.

She was influenced, and by such artist such as Rakim, MC Lyte, Veda, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Cormega, AZ, Beanie Sigel, Tupac, NWA, Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Yo-Yo, Queen Latifah, Da Brat, Remy Ma, and a host of other hip hop artists.  Jay Z is her favorite rapper, and greatest musical inspiration.  Watching his career grow is what assisted her in mastering her craft, and giving her performances everything she’s got.
