Alfacon Solutions announced the recent promotion of Chris Hind as the new Mechanical Engineering Manager. Previously, Hind was Project Manager and Project Management Supervisor for Alfacon. Hind shared that he enjoys most about working for Alfacon is the wide variety of unique materials handling applications they develop and engineer. “This pushes us to continuously innovate and evolve our designs and this keeps things interesting. The typical project life cycle is lengthy enough to get fully immersed in it, while not so long as seems to drag on and get stale,” added Hind.
With a focus on customized solutions, Hind has experience with multiple complex mechanical systems including both hand and foot parking brakes with automatic self-adjusting cable tension, compact heavy-duty screw jacks, and tire hoists. He oversaw the design, development, testing, and product launch for various OEM vehicle manufactures.
