To bring this unique system to buyers, the founder, and his team at Sheeple.io have taken the initiative to setup a crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs of tooling, manufacturing and various other expenses. The crowdfunding campaign has been launched on Indiegogo with a funding goal of at least $15,000 USD to be raised within the next months.
Sheeple.io system has been designed to combine affordability with complete privacy of the user in mind, through a privacy phone Moto E (2nd Generation) gives the user free Unlimited LTE Data coupled with secure privacy features. The phone has been loaded with a combination of powerful open-source applications and modules that allows the phone to stay private.
The Sheeple.io spokesperson explained: “We have successfully crafted a total phone solution. The unlimited data-only, privacy-rich, custom Moto E, acts just like a normal phone. The Signal app usually requires proprietary Google Play services, but we have created a workaround that allows us full functionality, with end-to-end encryption through messaging and the call feature. This is the most secure phone on the market, even surpassing other brands like “Blackphone”, which praise security and privacy, but still include Google Play services.”
The campaign has seen some progress since its launch, but still has a long way to go. The funds raised through the current crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various aspects necessary for the completion of the product for customer use. There is a limited number of Sheeple.io phone up for grabs, which are being offered as rewards for supporting the campaign.
