Most of the crowd funding campaigns offer perks and rewards, but this campaign takes it to another level, by giving the backers a chance to win a Benz S55.
Kachet Monet, a popular DJ and musician has started a fund raiser in which he is giving a chance for the backers to win a 2009 Benz S550. The donors can also participate in the contest by purchasing song from his website.
To participate, the minimum amount donated should be at least $1 after which each of the participants will be provided with a ticket number while the drawing will be held in the month of October to announce the winner.
Monet started this campaign dedicated to his cousin Darell Robinson who passed away last November and who also worked as a president of Team Elusive Motor in Chicago, IL area while he was alive. Robinson had a huge passion for racing cars and Monet wants to donate 60% of the funds to create a charity in his honor to help his widow and his children.
Born as Dante Darnell Scott on April 10th, 1986, Kachet Monet showed his interest in music at an early age as he used to beat box and rap around his friends. At the age of 15, he became a DJ with the name DJ 2ylight where he started creating beats before becoming a rapper four years later.
After graduating the Conservatory of recording arts in Arizona in 2008, Monet released a series of mix tapes, LPs and EPs, along with music video. He is currently producing music for various artists and collaborations and has adapted a music style with more of southern twist while keeping his Midwest and east coast toots, flow and influences. All the music he has produced is available for purchase at Getconquer.
