Los Angeles, California – Frescia Belmar, a world-class bassist and acclaimed performer, has set off a series of live concert dates in Los Angeles for 2018! The world-renown Chilean musician, who has recently come to the United States after collaborating with Grammy artists like Anita Tijoux and Mike Stern, has slated this upcoming tour to happen in conjunction with the release of her debut solo project!
Beginning this upcoming January, Belmar will perform live at various distinguished events and venues. The performer will take the stage at prestigious music events the likes of ‘Where Music Meets The Soul,’ Bell Sound, Bass Player Live, the NAMM Show, among others. Fans will also be able to catch Belmar at The Saban Theatre, The Rose Theatre, The Federal, Vibrato Jazz, and other venues throughout her tour.
This past weekend, November 4-5, Belmar was featured as a major attending artist at Bass Player Live, the industry’s most premiere events for bassists, organized by Bass Player Magazine. This year’s ceremonies celebrated Belmar alongside musicians such as Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jimmy Johnson, a bassist who worked extensively with James Taylor. Many of Belmar’s sponsors, including Ken Smith, Markbass, Gruvgear, and Dunlop Strings, were present at the event as Belmar represents them.
Many of Belmar’s live performance dates in 2018 are solo lead artist endeavors, including her performances at trade shows like NAMM and Bass Player Live. Belmar’s concert at Bell Sound will be a unique function, too, recorded live for CD and DVD as ‘The Birthday Concert,’ an ambitious production that reunites deep aspects of science and arts. Belmar will be joined by her selection of Los Angeles’ most elite musicians!
On a weekly basis, however, Belmar will be a featured artist in the residences of Edward Brown (from Stevie Wonder), Herman Jackson (Grammy nominee), and Randy Emata. These performances will take place as some of the city’s most distinguished venues, furthering Belmar’s immense musical reach on this lengthy upcoming tour.
At the end of 2017, Belmar will release her debut studio album. She will showcase many of these new songs in her live performances in 2018, and furthermore, her debut single, ‘Gracias a la Vida,’ is available now on all major digital music streaming and download platforms. The single is an homage to the centennial birthday of Violeta Parra, one of Belmar’s home country’s most beloved music legends.
