Adgex is the creator of ELFE, the first flashlight powered by the Earth’s electromagnetic energy rather than batteries. Thanks to the Adgex Accumulator, the ELFE flashlight is able to tap into the earth’s own energy as well as that provided by industries to convert this power into a useable energy supply. The ELFE flashlight, with its 3 Watt LED bulb, can supply up to five hours of continuous use. After 12 hours of continuous use, the flashlight recharges itself within seven to 14 days by tapping into the power of the Earth’s electromagnetic field. The creators of the ELFE flashlight have now launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds.
According to the creators, “When the ADGEX scientist team started looking into the world of energy management, they were struck by a crazy thought. Why do we need to keep making billions of toxic batteries when there is an endless supply of energy being emitted from the earth’s magnetic fields; from solar radiation; and from environmental and industrial electromagnetic noise? If only someone could work out how to use this massive supply of energy to power our small devices. Guess what? Our scientists worked it out!”
The ELFE flashlight technology has been successfully used in various field tests and Adgex is now working on technology that would allow these same principles to be used in a wide array of products. The design team in Australia has made the ELFE flashlight the first in the series of tools they hope to create that will allow people to use less polluting sources of energy and ultimately benefit the whole planet.
The IndieGoGo campaign offers pledge levels from $1 to $125, with prizes including free ELFE flashlights and distributor packs.
