The creator of Vet Plus More, a mobile app that provides pet owners with access to certified veterinarians around the world, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development of the program. Vet Plus More allows users to speak to a certified vet anywhere in the world, 24 hours per day, via text or video. For one yearly fee, users will gain access to vet advice at any time of the day or night. For less than the price of a single vet visit, users can obtain fast answers to questions or deal with emergencies with the help of a qualified veterinarian. For a limited time, all Kickstarter clients will receive one month of service for free, as well.
The funds raised through the Kickstarter campaign, located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2070183683/vets-plus-more, will be used to expand the services already offered through Vet Plus More. The app will soon feature such benefits as GPS tracking of any pet, as well as lost and found services. While the app is currently available only in English, multiple languages could be an option if donations meet the goal.
The app also provides mapping to local emergency clinics and referrals to services such as pet sitters and walkers, pet-friendly hotels and restaurants, and other pet services. Soon, the app will also offer pet insurance and handling of claims as well as pushes of coupons through the app for discounts on pet-related items.
The Kickstarter campaign offers a pledge level of $90 Canadian, or about $69 USD, for a one-year subscription as well as a free month of service. For more information, see the Kickstarter page.
