The Solace SUP or Stand Up Paddle Board is different from other units in several ways. Now, the creator of this SUP line has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to produce these unique boards.
Unlike other stand up paddle boards, Solace SUP boards and accessories are created using performance and eco-friendly materials. Each board is crafted from a bamboo vacuum bag sandwich technology using retractable handles, bamboo glass fins and adjustable performance fin boxes. Solace SUP Boards is the first to use hemp and cork materials for their line of boardbags and SUP traction pads through a collaboration with Wave Tribe. The boards and accessories maintain the highest standards of quality while utilizing materials that have much lower impact on the environment than the standard plastics used in many SUP boards.
According to founder and owner Rich Price, “We need your help bringing in our new stand up paddle board models and eco accessories for 2016. The three new shapes that our customers have been asking for are tested and ready to launch. As a small business, the challenge is the additional upfront inventory cost to hit the minimums required to produce our custom shapes and new hemp board bag sizes that will fit them. That is the reason for our Kickstarter campaign, to help get us funded and allow us to pull in a larger inventory order with an expanded product line.”
Supporting this Kickstarter campaign will allow Solace to meet minimum order quantities and bring new models to market. As seen at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/solacesup/solace-sup-boards-stand-up-paddle-board-line, donors can choose a reward for pledge ranging from $1 to $8,000, with rewards from t-shirts to complete SUP packages featuring quality boards that normally sell for $1,500 to $3000, even if they have fewer features.
