Creator of k-Bucks Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Raise Funds

The creator of k-Bucks has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development of this new virtual currency system to benefit K-12 students.

Vladimir Kravtchenko, software developer and business strategist, created k-Bucks to be a fun and motivational tool for parents, education sponsors, and educational content providers to use to support children in their educational endeavors.  Now, the creator of k-Bucks has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development and distribution of this new virtual currency system.

As a father, Vladimir Kravtchenko realized that “programming children to learn and develop” is more fun than programming computers.  Therefore, the Silicon Valley entrepreneur created k-Bucks as a way to motivate children to learn more and to enjoy the process.  According to the creator, k-Bucks allows parents and sponsors to directly reward children for learning and development.  He notes, “I have been manually testing the k-Bucks concept on my own children for several years now, and it works amazingly well. My daughters are straight-A students, winners of STEM science fairs, and one is an All-American athlete. They don’t have allowances, but as they learn and develop, they earn enough to buy their own smartphones and classy outfits. Often, as they learn the value of money, they choose to save and invest rather than spend. Happy kids, happy parents!”

Parents open an online account consisting of two virtual currency accounts: for parents and children.  Then parents purchase k-Bucks and select educational content for the children to use.  As children complete the content successfully, the system automatically releases a steady stream of k-Bucks to children to develop motivation to continue learning.  Parents and sponsors can also use k-Bucks as rewards or motivation for students to complete various educational and developmental tasks.  As children accumulate k-Bucks, they can redeem them in the k-Bucks online store for actual physical prizes.

As seen at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/386565831/k-bucks-learn-and-earn, the Kickstarter campaign offers pledge levels from $1 to $10,000, with prizes including virtual thank-you notes and your own profiles on the k-Bucks virtual coins.  For more information on the specific prizes associated with each pledge level, visit the Kickstarter page.
