Creative Biostructure Enhanced Its Cryo-EM Services

With the joint effort of scientists in Creative Biostructure, the company is glad to update its Cryo-EM Services recently.

Electron microscopy (EM) is a technique for getting high resolution pictures of biological and non-biological examples. It is utilized as a part of biomedical research to examine the detailed structure of tissues, cells, organelles and macromolecular complexes. The high resolution of EM images results from the utilization of electrons (which have short wavelengths) as the source of lighting up radiation. Electron microscopy is utilized as a part of conjunction with an assortment of ancillary systems (e.g. thin sectioning, immuno-labeling, negative staining) to answer particular inquiries. EM images give key data on the basic structure of cell capacity and of cell infection.

“With our in-house EM platform at Creative Biostructure, we are mainly focused on the use of cryo-EM technique to determine the structure of large macromolecules and their complexes with small ligands, proteins and nucleic acids. Other types of samples are also acceptable and can be handled with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or transmission electron microscopy (TEM).” Commented Joanna, Creative Biostructure representative.

Creative Biostructure is dedicated to providing an all-in-one cryo-EM pipline to build three dimensional structural models for the protein of its customers’ interest.
