This past Wednesday, June 8th, 2016, Chesapeake Home Health Care (CHHC-MD) in partnership with the Chick-Fil-A in Waldorf, MD held a coffee meet-and-greet with potential new nurses. The aim of the meeting was to find and recruit nurses to help serve their new families in Southern, MD (in Calvert, Charles & St. Mary’s County to be specific).
CHHC – MD believes that their practice of matching the personalities of their service providers to both the cultural and medical needs of their patients and their patients’ families has made them particularly successful with overall client relations, staffing, and patient care delivery.

The event was originally conceived by Director of Nursing Dawn Cole, RN, but it was Clinical Nurse Educator, Gina Brooks, RN who was onsite conducting the interviews and serving coffee.
“This event is important for Chesapeake Home Health Care or Chesapeake For Kids as families of special needs children desire caretakers who are nurturing, interactive and skilled and professional. For us, it’s equally important to find a pediatric private duty nurse that can do the job – because after all, skills pay the bills – but also loves his or her job. We are seeking nurses who love working with children, and we believe Chick-Fil-A is the perfect environment to do a face-to-face meeting to select prospective caregivers of our clients. It also represents an environment where faith and family are promoted.” – Dawn Cole, RN, CLNC, Director of Nursing.
The event was held on Wednesday, June 8th from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Chick-Fil-A on 3365 Crain Hwy
Waldorf, MD, 20603. Plans for any future events in a similar vein have not been announced.
