San Luis Obispo, CA – Stella Threads is a new clothing line based in San Luis Obispo, bringing bohemian chic styles to women and children. The collection features artistic graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and infant onesies featuring youthful and vibrant designs including feathers, native headdresses, peace signs, and hearts. Popular pieces include the “Tiny Hippie” long-sleeved onesie ($23.95) and the “Little Heart Breaker” infant bodysuit ($21.95).
Tracy Hanson and her younger sibling, Michael Thomas are the owners and creators of Stella Threads. They had a vision to create a line of exclusive, artisan clothing pieces for everyday wear with an emphasis on giving back to a cause close to Tracy’s heart. Stella Threads donates 20% of their proceeds to the National Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (NCADV). NCADV works to create a culture where domestic violence is not tolerated, empowers victims and survivors, and holds abusers accountable.
“As someone who has experienced the havoc domestic abuse can bring to a woman’s life, I knew I wanted to create a brand that would inspire and help other women,” said Tracy. “Creating beautiful clothing is my life’s passion, and my designs reflect the positive energy and peace I want all women who have suffered domestic abuse to one day experience.” Tracy hopes to grow and expand the brand to a scale that would create jobs and allow her to train and employ women who are struggling with the financial aspect of leaving their abuser.
In addition to the women and kids lines, Stella Threads also offers a Streetwear line for men featuring artistic graphic tees, hoodies, and sweatshirts. Designs include vintage and tattoo inspired artwork.
